Are You Prepared for the War?

Here are a couple of simple questions.

  1. How do you prepare yourself for an unexpected war?

  2. How often do you talk to God?

If you say anything besides “all day” there’s a good chance you are not prepared for your war.

Every war is different and typically unique to each individual

We also don’t realize it until we are in the middle of it and typically losing!

At least this is the case for me.

I want to say that I’m sorry to those who usually look forward to my content every week and realized there was nothing new last week.

Sometimes I don’t have everything together…actually a lot of the time.

I was thinking and thinking about what I could put out for you mamas and I just couldn’t get it together. I knew I wanted to do something biblical or faith based but that’s about it.

So, yes, I’m a mess sometimes, I lose motivation, I don’t have the energy to do what once made me feel like myself.

It’s took about 4 separate occasions to figure out that I was in the middle of my war and I was LOSING!

I just laid there and took current life’s beating and apparently cared less to put up a fight.

That whole week God had been telling me to stay prepared and use the tools that he equipped me with but I was not paying attention.

I was not spending time with the Lord as I typically did and for some reason to me that meant that trying to listen and include God in the rest of my day was some how impossible!

When it’s really not!

It’s not difficult to ask God to help me get up today.

It’s not hard to ask God to help me keep food down or stay hydrated.

It’s not hard to ask God to give me the energy to just spend a little time with my husband and baby.

It’s not hard!

All it takes is to say “Jesus”…he already knows what is on our hearts.

How am I supposed to overcome my daily battles without my weapons?

I can’t! I will lose every time!

I know that God IS MY PREPARATION

He knows what everyday will bring before we do and therefore he knows how to get us through successfully!

He does not prepare us by telling us at the beginning of our day …

“This is what you’re going to endure today and this is how you’re going to get through it!”

NO!

Because if he did, then where is the trust and the dependence that he wants from us?

For Example,
When you and a friend are about to go through something and you know more about this situation than your friend..you know it’s way too much to explain and it will be simpler to just say…

“Just trust me. Do you trust me?”

And hope your friend does because from that point on there’s no more questions there is just dependence on YOU!

And that’s exactly what God wants from us!

God is asking us the same thing!

He will always be with us no matter where we go and what we go through, but he won’t force his way into our lives. We need to invite him and constantly communicate with him.

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’s our bestest friend.

Let’s treat him like it!

We are going to go through funky patches where we feel our lowest. We get tired, overworked, and careless. This happens more often when we have been trying to do this life without our dearest friend.

I was not prepared for this war. But I will be next time even if that means I have to crawl because I will not be alone.

God will get us through any war because he is our preparation.

So Much Love,

Ki’ari

God, it’s easy for me to worry about things that are out of my control. But even when my thoughts start to spiral, You invite me to talk to You about what’s on my mind. So today, I bring all of my worries to You. Please take my anxious thoughts and replace them with Your perfect peace. I trust that You can handle every area of my life. In Jesus’ name,

Amen.
